LIBERTARIAN GOVERNOR CANDIDATE TO PARTICIPATE IN PHILADELPHIA PUB CRAWL
July 19, 2002

Ken Krawchuk, the Libertarian candidate for Governor, will be participating in a Libertarian "Pub Crawl" near center city Philadelphia on Saturday evening, July 27th, from 7 PM until about 11 PM, starting and ending at Liberties restaurant at 705 North Second Street. The public and media are welcome to participate.

"Part of the reason for the Crawl is to meet the voters and part of it is to collect signatures to get our Libertarian candidates on the ballot this year", Krawchuk said. "But it's also a chance to have a little fun on the campaign trail. And what starting point could be more appropriate for a Libertarian candidate than Liberties?"

During the Crawl, Krawchuk will be spending approximately a half hour at each the following restaurants: Liberties at 705 North Second Street, Druid's Keep at 149 Brown Street, The Standard Tap at Second and Poplar, The North Third at Third and Brown, Pallette at Third and Brown, Finnigan's Wake at Third and Spring Garden, then back to Liberties.

Founded in 1971, the Libertarian Party is the third largest political party in the state and the nation, with over 500 elected and appointed officials currently serving in office nationwide, and 71 in Pennsylvania, more than any other state except California. Like the Founding Fathers, Libertarians believe that you have a God-given, inalienable right to conduct your life as you see fit, without interference, so long as you respect the rights and property of others. For more information about the Libertarian Party, the public is invited to contact the Libertarian Party of Pennsylvania at www.LpPa.org or (800) R-RIGHTS, or the National Libertarian Party at Lp.org or (202) 333-0008.
